The Lx2 may not, at first sight, seems like an ideal candidate for HDR shots but it is in fact quite useful. It has an auto-bracket function accessed by pushing the exposure control button (top of the 4) twice. The bracketing only goes to +/- 1 EV but this can be extended by using manual exposure. Post processing can be done with numerous programs - I use Dynamic Photo HDR myself.

HDR

There are several but Photomatix seems to be the most popular. Others are Artizen and DPHDR.

The basic premise is that you take 2 or more shots at different exposures (i.e. 1x normal, 1x lighter, 1x darker) and the HDR software blends them together to different effects. It adds details to shadows and highlights but there is plenty more to it too in the fine controls, adding "drama".
